What currencies are available in League of Legends?

There are three main currencies in the game: riot points, orange essence, and blue essence. Riot points are the premium currency in the game and are purchased using real money. It is used to buy anything ranging from champions to skins. Orange essence is used to craft skins unlocked in Hextech chests and are consequently earned by disenchanting those same skins. Finally, blue essence is the more common currency in-game and is primarily used to unlock champions. It is earned by completing quests or unlocking Hextech chests.
