10. Humanoid
The pride of the European League of Legends scene has made it to the top 10 Worlds 2021 players list. While most people might have expected Europe to get kicked off the list completely since Caps was unable to attend the competition, Humanoid definitely deserves to be in the top 10. He has been performing out of his mind in Europe and has proven over and over again that he has surpassed even Caps as the best mid laner in Europe this season.
- Team: MAD Lions
- Nationality: Czech Republic
- Region: LEC
- Role: Mid Lane
The Mid Laner is a powerhouse and represents everything that Europe has strived to achieve over the years. When it comes to consistent laning and creating upsets against other top mid laners, this man has been at the frontline making headlines happen. This player has reliable teammates to back him up and plays an unselfish style that perfectly compliments the playstyle that MAD Lions has developed throughout this season. Other mid laners shouldn’t underestimate this player when playing against him.
9. Faker
But any top 10 best players list isn’t complete without the Unkillable Demon King himself. For years this man has stood on top of the competition as an insurmountable opponent that players strived to be and feared to play against. However, even a King ages and loses his grip on the throne. While Faker has enjoyed being at the top spot in the years during his prime, he has fallen today to being only on the lower half of the Top 10 spot which isn’t too bad considering he’s already on the later stages of his career.
- Team: T1
- Nationality: Korea
- Region: LCK
- Role: Mid Lane
Faker might not be as dominant as he was in his earlier years but that doesn’t mean his skills has faded completely. While he struggled to play aggressively in the past 2-3 years, this year makes him look like one of the most dominant mid laners in Korea. He has been going back to his lane dominant tendencies which has worked to get him on top once more. If anyone thinks that this player is washed-up, they’ll be reminded of the days he was known as the best player of all time.
8. Ming
Undoubtedly the best support player in this generation, Ming has proven over and over again that he has created so many talented AD Carries after spending his days as a support for the greatest bot laner of all time. As a support player, he is criminally underappreciated especially since he hasn’t won a lot of personal achievements like MVPs. However, his teammates have won multiple awards thanks to his contributions which, to the trained eye, isn’t gone unnoticed.
- Team: Royal Never Give Up
- Nationality: China
- Region: LPL
- Role: Support
Support players don’t usually have any flashy plays that make them stand out but Ming is one whose plays are noticeable, to say the least. When it comes to the bottom lane, fans are always complimenting GALA for his incredible performance not knowing it’s Ming who puts him ahead. But Ming doesn’t only support GALA but also his entire team. He travels around the map and gives his enemies an unpleasant surprise when they realize that they’re suddenly fighting two or more people at the same time.
7. Chovy
Chovy has been debated as the best player in the entire world since his debut in Griffin. The player is definite a cut above the rest if we consider the fact that he’s been playing with deadweight ever since he left Griffin to join other teams. While he hasn’t won anything to push his standings a little bit higher, there’s no doubt that he belongs on our list of the Top 10 Worlds 2021 players through his sheer carry power alone and individual skills that are undoubtable.
- Team: Hanwha Life Esports
- Nationality: Korea
- Region: LCK
- Role: Mid Lane
The player has been going through a difficult time going through the season, not even making it to the LCK Summer Playoffs. Thanks to his Spring points, he and the rest of his team managed to secure a spot in the regional finals where they earned their spot as the 4th seed. Throughout the Summer Season, Chovy only felt like he was playing like he was unmotivated and made uncharacteristic mistakes. Despite that, his recent performances give us little reason to doubt that he’s a great player.
6. Nuguri
Nuguri is a genius in the top lane and is a force to be reckoned with. As the reliable sub-carry that FunPlus Phoenix has had the luxury of falling back on throughout the entire 2021 season, he has proven that he is a valuable member of the team and is the reason why their teamfighting prowess has improved dramatically. Even though he might have a bit of communication problem when playing with his teammates, he still manages to find opportunities to create the perfect synergized plays.
- Team: FunPlus Phoenix
- Nationality: Korea
- Region: LPL
- Role: Top Lane
Much like the other best top laners in the world today, Nuguri has a flexible champion pool that can either go for the aggressive carry style or go for teamfight utility to support his team. No matter what champion he’s placed on, he does his duties tremendously which is why the team has performed so dominantly throughout the entire split. When it comes to the Worlds 2021 players, this man is really trying to prove that he deserves to win the trophy back-to-back on his new team.
5. Scout
Scout has been a top competitor in the League of Legends scene for the longest time but when EDG started to rebuild following the loss of some of their main players, he was held back heavily by the team. The organization remained faithful to him by keeping him as the star player they wanted to build around and surely, the investment finally paid off. He now returns to the worlds stage to finally contribute to the success of the LPL by leading his team to the championships.
- Team: EDward Gaming
- Nationality: Korea
- Region: LPL
- Role: Mid Lane
This player has always been a mastermind in keeping the team’s macro going. He plays extremely safe during the laning phase and roams around the map masterfully to assist his team. While he might not have one of the most dominant laning phase performances in the league, he still manages to keep up an impressive scoreline by playing around teamfights like the professional that he is. His deadly yet calculated fighting style definitely attests to his spot as a top 5 Worlds 2021 player.
4. Viper
Viper is also a member of EDG and is the piece that made the organization so successful. As one of the three former Griffin players that are attending the tournament this year, he is showing how powerful he is in his role as being the one and only entry on this lane for ADCs. If you’ve watched the LPL during the summer season, you’ll know why we picked him as part of our Top 10 Worlds 2021 players list seeing as how he plays the role so dominantly as the unrivaled best ADC of this generation.
- Team: EDward Gaming
- Nationality: Korea
- Region: LPL
- Role: AD Carry
The best part about watching Viper play is how exciting he is both in teamfights and 2v2 situations. He manages to play his aggressive style thanks to Meiko who enables him to do what he wants and creates opportunities for him to do so in the lane. Once this player secures a lead, the opponents will never find a way to put him back behind since he’ll begin steamrolling the competition single-handedly even if the rest of his team is so far behind in terms of resources.
3. Xiaohu
Xiaohu is a man of many talents and we mean the fact that he has one of the biggest champion pools in League of Legends and that he now plays two different roles. While is a top laner right now, he can easily make the swap to mid lane if the situation requires for him to go against a difficult opponent. As a top laner, Xiaohu is unrivaled and is considered the best in the role since he manages to perform well as a carry no matter what type of champion is given to him.
- Team: Royal Never Give Up
- Nationality: China
- Region: LPL
- Role: Top Lane
When it comes to lane dominance, there is nobody as good as Xiaohu. Because of his extensive champion pool, he can basically have any counterpick that he wants against his opponents. This often pushes the enemy team to pick their top laner last which reveals a lot of their strategy early on. This man is so important in the team that RNG has created a specific playstyle that revolves around his support, jungler, and mid laner roaming all the way top to help him secure a lead.
2. Showmaker
The man to take the top 2 spot of our Top Worlds 2021 Players list is none other than Showmaker. True to his name, this man puts on a spectacle that everyone has the honor of watching as the star player of Damwon Kia. Despite his team struggling the past season, Showmaker has remained as the consistent piece that manages to pull his team out of a terrible situation and leads them towards the path to victory.
- Team: Damwon Kia
- Nationality: Korea
- Region: LCK
- Role: Mid Lane
Showmaker is the key to Damwon’s success. Even though a lot of people attribute this team’s success to Canyon, we still believe that this man is the heart and soul of the operation. Without him, Damwon Kia would be nothing and that’s saying a lot about a championship-level team. Mid laners in the tournament should be afraid of this man and what he brings to the table when it comes to paving a way to the championship.
1. Doinb
Taking the top spot in our Top 10 Worlds 2021 players list is Supercarry Doinb. This man has earned the name through his power as THE mid lane king during 2019. While taking in criticism from other pros in the tournament, he created a unique mid lane style that proved to be the best way to play League of Legends during that era. While he isn’t as utility-focused as he was back then, his new playstyle only adds to the deadliness of his newfound success.
- Team: FunPlus Phoenix
- Nationality: Korea
- Region: LPL
- Role: Mid Lane
Combining an aggressive hyper-carry style with a controlled macro is something that most mid laners in the tournament struggle to do. Being able to do this flawlessly with a wide array of champions at his disposal is a talent that proves he deserves the top spot. As the current best player in the world, he has a lot of work to do to prove to the world that he’s not a one-time champion and is here to create his own legacy in LoL.
